Emirates has continued expanding Airbus A350 service from Dubai in 2026, adding the aircraft to existing routes and using it for extra daily frequencies. The newest confirmed change is Kuala Lumpur, where Emirates scheduled the A350 on daily flights EK344/345 from 1 September 2026.

Kuala Lumpur: daily A350 from September

Emirates announced on 27 August that flights EK344/345 between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur would use its A350 from 1 September 2026. The airline said this A350 has 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats.

Kuala Lumpur also continues to receive other Emirates aircraft. The announcement says the A350 service operates alongside a retrofitted Boeing 777 on EK346/347 and A380 operations. That means searching only by destination is not enough if the aircraft or Premium Economy cabin matters to you: compare the individual flight number shown for your date.

Colombo: two daily A350 options

From 8 August 2026, Emirates scheduled a second daily A350 between Dubai and Colombo on EK648/649. It joins the A350 already used for EK654/655. Emirates described a wider Colombo schedule of four daily services using a mix of A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, including one service routed via Malé.

For a nonstop itinerary, check the stops field as well as the aircraft. The route name alone does not establish whether a service is nonstop or operates via another airport. Confirm the flight number, duration and stop information on the booking screen before payment.

Phuket: a third daily frequency

Emirates announced a third daily Dubai–Phuket service operated by an A350. The airline said this took the route to 21 weekly services using a mix of Boeing 777 and A350 aircraft. The additional flights are EK390 from Dubai and EK391 from Phuket.

The A350 assigned to this service was described with 32 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats. As with Kuala Lumpur, that cabin count differs from the original 312-seat short- and medium-haul A350 configuration publicised by Emirates, which has 21 Premium Economy and 259 Economy seats.

Cape Town: third daily service

The third daily Dubai–Cape Town service began on 1 July 2026, with EK778 arriving in Cape Town on 1 July and the airline announcing the milestone on 2 July. It marked the Emirates A350 debut in South Africa.

The extra frequency gives travellers another departure choice, but it should not be confused with a completely new Emirates destination. Cape Town was already served; the 2026 change added capacity and introduced the A350 on the route.

Taipei: A350 introduced in July

Emirates announced that its new-generation A350 entered service on the Taipei–Dubai route on 1 July 2026. The change added the airline's Premium Economy product on the A350-operated service.

The routes covered here operate from Dubai International Airport, shown as DXB. Do not confuse DXB with Al Maktoum International Airport, or DWC, when arranging a taxi, parking, hotel transfer or connecting journey.

Check the individual flight number

Emirates can operate several daily flights to the same city with different aircraft. Record the outbound and return flight numbers separately. An A350 on one direction or time does not automatically mean every flight on the route uses the same aircraft.

Aircraft changes remain possible
